Single Day Bike Tour on Brač: North – East

This tour is intended for beginners and families. In the morning we will meet and pick up the bikes at the Waveshop, and after that we will go on the ferry (ferry tickets are included in the price of the tour). We arrive in Supetar, where our 20 km long tour starts.

Start your trip in Supetar, the biggest settlement on Island Brač. This city is also an administrative, cultural and touristic center of the entire north side of Brač! Supetar abounds with points of historical heritage which is not surprising as its history goes back to the period when Roman emperors lived here.

Our next stop after Supetar will be a small settlement, Splitska, 7 km east of Supetar. This settlement was an important port used for loading the stone of Brač in the 2nd century, when the Roman Empire was building a palace in the city of Split. Diocletian, one of the last Roman emperors spent his last years of his turbulent life in that pallace. As a settlement, it was destroyed in the 13th century by pirates and rebuilt again in the 16th. Today, Splitska makes a huge impact in wine and olive oil production for island Brač. Nearby coves and beaches make this place a great destination for a family holiday.

Postira will be our last checkpoint. Birthplace of one of the biggest Croatian poets, Vladimir Nazor. This small fishermen’s village is located on the north side of Brač and it is surrounded with small peasants’ houses and narrow streets reflecting its authentic Dalmatian ambience. What adds to the atmosphere are restaurants and taverns with typical Mediterranean cuisine and quality wines of Brač. Beautiful pebbles and sandy beaches are waiting for you to explore them.
